What Is Guyabano Fruit
Also known as Guayabana or Guanabana, the Guyabano fruit is
being called the soursop fruit. Since there is so much resourceful information
on how soursop works greatly against cancers, people have started to become
interested in consuming it. Thousands of health websites claim the soursop
extracted from the tree, leaves and even the fruit, is capable of killing
cancer cells by natural means. The Department of Science and Technology in Philippines
even created a health supplement made from Guanabana.
What is the Guyabano and how does it look like?
Guyabano is actually a tree that develops five to seven
meters high. It creates a pear-shaped fruit that holds the green color and some
soft spines. This Guayabana tree is native to the Caribbean, Central America, South America , and African countries in the sub-Saharan
area. The tree is also able to adapt to the tropical climate and could be found
in most countries in Southeast Asia .
The matured Guanabana or soursop fruit weighs around two to five kilograms and is ovoid in shape. It features a thin skin that has a whitish pulp which is soft, fleshy, and fibrous. The taste is distinct, with a tangy citrus taste. The soursop fruits are being harvested after they have matured. The skin of the Guyabano fruit needs to have a shinny green or yellow color.

Guayabana Benefits
There are tons of medicinal benefits Guayabana has to offer.
Besides taking care of different cancers and their nasty effects, the soursop
fruit seems to have great effects against heightened blood sugar levels. Back
in 2008, the African Journal of
Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine presented the
results of a study conducted on diabetes-mellitus afflicted rats that were
fed Guyabano. These lab rats showed an actual and significant lowering in
their blood sugar levels. Other studies have shown how Guyabano is great in
reducing alleviation, fever, asthma, arthritis, and skin infections. Some
other studies have reported great effects of the soursop fruit against herpes
simplex infections, liver problems, and even hypertension.
Guayabana against cancer
When patients go through chemotherapy, all their bodily
systems suffer alongside the malignant cells. The Guyabano extract's compound
will selectively track and kill only the cancerous cells. The healthy will
always be left in peace. There have even been old studies, conducted in 1976,
which prove how the soursop is indeed a very good killer of cancer cells.
Cancerous patients have noticed great improvement since
using the Guanabana fruit. This has determined people from all over the world
to use Guanabana supplements in order to achieve greater health.
